The role purpose of the lighting operator is to set up and operate lighting equipment under the supervision of the Lighting Supervisor, as well as Liaising with the floor manager, producer and sound technician throughout any project.

• Visiting and assessing locations for technical purposes.
• Ensure that a consistent look of a specific program is being maintained.
• Rigging the lighting and ensuring all cables and wires are safely concealed.
• Coordinating the equipment and training other team members as required.
• Operating and maintaining equipment during studio production and outside shootings.
• Programming and operating lighting consoles.
• Ensuring all lighting equipment is in working order and organizing any necessary scaffolding and cranes.
• Working in close co-operation with your colleagues in Production Operations and Engineering to ensure that twofour54 clients experience the highest levels of satisfaction.
• Responsible for making all arrangements necessary when shoots taking place outside the studio.
• Any other reasonable duties required by the management.

• Strong understanding in the operation of modern lighting equipment and technology.
• Excellent eye for colors, lights and darks and depth of field.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and the ability to work as part of a team.
• High skill level with advanced lighting techniques.
• Strong problem solving ability. 
• At least 3 years of high-end production experience, in tv series, feature films or entertainment shows as a Lighting Technician / Operator.
• Relevant vocational qualifications.
• Experience of working in a commercial multi-client environment.
• Experience of the lighting of a production, preferable in an HD environment to the highest levels of service and reliability.
