Licensing & Content Manager
To ensure the efficient registration and licensing and renewal of sole proprietors in the Media Zone, ensure the efficient processing of ongoing services to sole proprietors such as adding or changing activities on their business license, and ensure sole proprietor compliance with the MZA regulations and Compliance Procedures. To work together in the regulatory affairs and licensing team to ensure maximum efficiency and support for clients and stakeholders, to aid in the incorporation and registration of new companies and the renewal of companies in the Media Zone and to ensure that legal, regulatory, corporate and other services work as smoothly as possible together. To provide advice in relation to content related matters ensuring compliance with the MZA Content Code.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Managing the sole proprietor licensing process
1.1 Ensuring that the licensing elements of the sole proprietor/freelancer scheme is managed and administered to the maximum efficiency and support for stakeholders.
1.2 Liaising closely with the freelancer teams to ensure efficient and smooth onboarding process for sole proprietors.
1.3 Processing of sole proprietor license renewal applications, including variations of business or services requested.
1.4 Liaising with stakeholders regarding renewal of their licensing applications including written and verbal correspondence, in both Arabic and English.
1.5 Working together in the regulatory and licensing team to manage dissemination applications and maintaining the registers accordingly.
1.6 Updating and supporting the other members of the team on the licensing status of applicants to ensure smooth and transparent information sharing and consistent commitment to partners.
1.7 Arranging meetings for prospects and clients to sign legal and regulatory documents with the MZA Registrar.
1.8 Introducing new partners to client relations team and twofour54 services.
1.9 Assisting prospects and clients to sign legal and regulatory documents with the legal team.
2. Ensure compliance of sole proprietors
2.1 Working with companies and sole proprietors to enforce the compliance codes of practice governing business standards within the Media Zone and specific standards in relation to their dissemination of content.
3. Content Review
3.1 Assisting on the content review elements of the MZA function including leading on all Arabic content review for the MZA.
3.2 Providing feedback to licensees to assist them with script approval from the NMC
4. Reporting and notifications management 4.1 Ensuring the maintenance of the sole proprietor's register, keeping relevant statistics.
4.2 Ensuring the maintenance of relevant statistical information.
5. Ensuring the regulatory and licensing teamwork to meet the MZA strategic priorities and mandate 5.1 Generally to work together in the regulatory & licensing team to ensure maximum efficiency and support for clients and stakeholders particularly in relation to the incorporation and registration of new businesses and sole proprietors and regulatory policy review for the MZA
5.2 Familiarization with key federal UAE legislation, MZA Companies regulations, Business licensing regulations, Dissemination licensing regulations, Employment & Sponsorship regulations, Compliance Procedures and international regulatory best practice.
5.3 Working together in the regulatory and licensing team to ensure the continued delivery of regulations that meet public policy objectives
5.4 Taking part in and delivering specific policy projects as required.
5.5 Working together in the regulatory and licensing team on the content and policy review initiatives mandated
